1. Introduction
ARF는 GFR의 급격한 감소와 질소대사물의 축적을 특징으로 하는데 그 결과는 adaptation(적응) 기전을 통해 보상할수 있는 CRF보다 더 심각하고 급격하다. 신장으로의 혈류량이 정상화되면 prerenal azotenia가 가역적으로 정상화된다
(1) hypovolemia : Hemorrhage, skin losses, GI losses
(2) Ineffective arterial volume : congestive heart failure, liver failure, sepsis, anaphylaxis
(3) Arterial occlusion : Bilateral arterial thromboembolism, aortic or renal artery aneurysm
2) Postrenal Azotemia
(1) Ureteral obstruction : Bilateral or in a solitary kidney
(2) Urethral obstruction : prostatitis, clot, calculus, neoplasm
(3) Venous occlusion : Bilateral or solitary kidney
3) Intrinsic renal azotemia
(1) Vascular : vasculitis, microangiopathy, malignant hypertension, eclampsia
